Successful on paper but feel off on the inside?
I work with leaders to change that,
so they can perform at their best and enjoy their success.
"Jax has an incredible ability to see beyond the surface and identify what's really going on."
I'm Jacqueline Makin, Jax to everyone. I am an ICF-accredited coach (ACC) and Master NLP Practitioner.
I was Head of Brand Activation at Carlsberg Britvic and I'm now Chief Marketing Officer for a tech start-up. I've experienced first-hand what it's like to look successful on paper, but feel off on the inside.
Now, I work with driven professionals to help change the patterns driving that gap, so that success doesn't come at a personal cost.
This isn’t about working harder or throwing in the towel.
It’s about changing how you operate inside.
Many professionals feel constantly switched on and like work never leaves their mind.
Coaching helps you reduce the mental overload, get clearer on priorities, and create simple ways to switch off properly at the end of the day.
What changes?
Axis Aligned offers a tailored approach to you, combining coaching and practical nervous system support, so you can lead, decide and perform under pressure without burning out.
What clients say…
“The sessions with Jax went a long way to helping me solidify my goals and think far more deeply about both the 'what' and 'why' I was trying to accomplish. The questioning was fantastic and allowed me to get my ideas out of my head…I could see what I did and didn’t want to do next.”
— Scott, Teacher & Business Owner
“I had recently been promoted and was overthinking how my team perceived me. Every session has contained some kind of breakthrough, and time and again the things I thought I needed to solve turned out to be symptoms rather than the real issue. I feel far more confident in the value I bring as a leader, and I no longer look to my team for validation of that value. This is the next chapter in helping me reach another level of what I know I'm capable of. Absolutely do it.”
— Sherri, Marketing Manager
“Jax is so approachable, easy to talk to, and goal oriented. I come out of my sessions with a handful of helpful things to test out in my job. I always look forward to chatting with her!”

I coach professionals and leaders who want support with confidence, resilience and balance, so they can take the driving seat in their own life. Many are managers, senior leaders or business owners who are stepping up, taking on a new role, or are questioning whether they're good enough for the job they already have. Clients often relate to the feeling of second-guessing their decisions, and noticing they've been so busy getting where they are that they've never really worked out what they want.

Both. I'm an ICF-accredited coach. Most of my clients come to me about work: leading well, ensuring success feels sustainable, making decisions with confidence and switching off properly. Because work and life affect each other, we look at both.

Coaching with me helps you trust your own judgement, make decisions without going round in circles, and work out what you actually want, often for the first time, in your career and in your life. It’s about bringing a new perspective and creating long-lasting change so you can thrive in life and get the most out of each day.

Choosing a coach can be confusing, because anyone can use the title. That's why I chose ICF-accredited training and hold the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the leading professional body for coaches worldwide. It means my coaching has been independently assessed and I follow the ICF Code of Ethics.
I'm also a Master NLP Practitioner and a trained group facilitator. I'm a holistic health coach (Ayurveda) too, which brings another dimension to the way I work with the whole person.
I spent 12 years in the corporate world, six of them in leadership roles, including at Carlsberg Britvic, and I'm now CMO of a tech start-up. So I know the pressure my clients are under because I work under it too.

We start with a free 15-minute call to see whether coaching is right for you. If it is, you can book a block of six sessions at £115 each or a one-off session for £130. Each session is 55 minutes and takes place online. Alongside the coaching, I may bring in some practical nervous system tools, depending on what you need.

Therapy often focuses on healing the past and supports people with mental health conditions. Coaching looks forward: where you are now, where you want to be, and what will get you there. If something comes up that a therapist would help with more, I'll tell you and encourage you to get that support.
